Falador and Gale

These weeks are going by TOO DANG FAST! It feels like yesterday when I was releasing the Golden Plains, and now here we are at the launch of yet another short story! We’re certainly plowing through Tearna’s Journal, but don’t worry. There’s a lot of content left to get through, and even more after the Journal. But, I’m getting ahead of myself, so let’s dive into Falador and perhaps take a look at some things coming down the pipeline.

Faladorian Mountains

Around the world, the Eastern continent of Falador is most famous for its immense mountain comprising almost eighty percent of its entire landmass! These mountains are rugged, jagged, and beyond cold. Traversing them is not for the faint of heart, and now our intrepid explorer Tearna has found her way into their towering clutches!

For most of her journey, Tearna’s expedition has had it rather easy by all accounts, but all of that changes from this point forward. The Faladorian Mountains will test their mettle at every turn, both in terms of footing as well as the hostility of the wildlife around them. Their expedition will have to brave freezing blizzards, precarious cliffs, and more than a few easily angered denizens that lurk within the depths of the mountains. Civilization is sparse, and they’ll have to rely on their skills and survival instincts to get through one of the harshest areas on the entire planet! Join Tearna as she ventures into the heart of the mountains as she dives further into the history, and heart, of the Clockwork Crisis!

For those wishing to know more about this terrain, these mountains are extremely treacherous. Civilization does exist in these mountains, but only in the form of isolated villages with hardly even twenty people in them a piece. Life is extremely harsh and difficult, but the Krysheek who call these mountains home manage to get by thanks to the few caravans that pass through. It’s very rare, so they are effectively isolated from the rest of the world, and the instability of the various passes makes travel exceptionally difficult. Though this area is very close to what was once two flourishing civilizations, it has fallen to wilderness, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an Oasis lurking in its heart…

Valley of the Colossi

Following their adventure into the mountains, Tearna will find herself in an enchanted landscape called the Valley of the Colossi. This valley is an effective Oasis in the midst of the rugged mountains, a beautiful, lush, and fertile terrain lacking the cold bite of the looming mountains. What stands out more than anything, however, are the towering trees that call the valley home, a unique species that cannot be found anywhere else, and one that grows nearly as tall as the mountains themselves! However, what is truly magic about the valley is its connection to the Crisis. This valley was none other than the birthplace of the First Archon, Caleia, the figure that stood against the Crisis and saved the entire world.

Two weeks, and then you get to read it! Be patient!

Art Stuff

Alright! Let’s talk… Gale! Gale is nearly done and will be making her grand debut appearance sometime within the next week. Working on her has certainly been a process, but I am very happy with what I’ve managed to learn over the course of this venture. Some elements I still find myself lacking in, but, overall, she will showcase that my skills have dramatically improved over the past seven or eight months! I cannot wait to actually show her off here, so… Have a sneak peak! Don’t worry. The final image is full colored, lighted, and textured!

Youtube

Hopefully last night we had our first episode go live that is NOT ARK! Cue the gasps of shock! Yes, at long last, I have managed to return to speedrunning in the laziest way possible, by speedrunning something from memory with no effort put in beforehand! That being said, it was quite fun, and I would very much like to see what people think of it. For those who haven’t seen it, it’s a speedrun of Pikmin, and old gamecube game that I actually speedran as a kid long before I knew speedrunning was a thing. This is just the first in other side videos, however, so let me know on Bluesky if there’s anything specific anyone would like to see in the future. I’m already thinking pokemon emerald, subnautica, and a few others, so weigh in and maybe I’ll expedite something fun!

Conclusion

I could write more here, but I would rather save my words for the post next week. Next week, I anticipate we will, at last, be covering Gale in full! It will be a momentous and exciting day for me, and I can’t wait to see what people think of the bubbly and happy Archon! So, until then… CHEERS!
