Spiritmarsh and Website Updates!

It’s a new week which, of course, means a new blog! This week, as promised, Spiritmarsh has gone live alongside numerous website updates, and even more tasty treats are already planned for this next week. See what I did there? Tasty treats? Halloween? …nevermind. Anyway, instead of doing a long, drawn out preamble, let’s just jump right into this!

Site Updates

Three changes have been made to the website this week, though one of them was probably hard to notice. To start, obviously, Spiritmarsh is now available within the short stories section of the website within Tearna’s journal! Here, you can read about our intrepid explorer’s journey into the Spiritmarsh and see all the fantastical sights that she saw while she was there! Additionally… you can get a hint about the next story as well, her journey into the Esterian Sea! This leads into the second site update.

The bookmark for the Esterian Sea has been completed and is now live to represent what will be getting added sometime next month. Tearna’s journey across the Esterian sea will hold many wonders, though you might have noticed the flagship creature that will be explored if you study the bookmark a little closely!

Lastly, and the smallest of the three, the world map has been updated to reflect the naming of new areas of the map. These were areas that were already named, but weren’t properly noted on the original work, mostly for spoiler reasons. This includes Spiritmarsh, The Esterian Sea, the port city of Randara, Adecial, and Maldrezza! Through this, you can track Tearna’s journey around the world and possibly guess at future locations she might visit!

In Other News

Outside the website and short story stuff, work continues on the concept piece for the first book’s cover piece! It is NEARLY complete! At this point, the only major effort left is quite literally writing out the title, which is a lot tougher than I expected. I do expect it to be done this weekend, however, so expect that to be the big subject matter of next week’s blog!

Early rendition of the concept from a week ago!

In other areas of the world, streaming has taken off in a rather big way and I am closing in on affiliate! I expect that affiliate will probably be reached sometime in December based on my current trajectory, but there is one big update inbound tonight that might accelerate it! If I’m lucky, of course… I’m talking about youtube in this case. Starting tonight, streams will be dual streamed to both Youtube and Twitch to try and further outreach. My hope is that this will expand my social media outreach and help me get more views on twitch to achieve affiliate at last!

The Next Art Piece

I’m someone who can’t help but look ahead, so I’ve already planned out NUMEROUS art pieces that I’ll be working on once this book concept is finished. Up next will be filling out another face in the universe page, and it’s a character I can’t help but despise. People like a hero, but a villain is what truly sells a story. In this case, it’s time for none other than James Stockton to get a face. James Stockton will be the next focus of my artwork, and will be done in a black and white style befitting the darkness of his character. In terms of villainy, there are few that can compare to his heartlessness. In his eyes, every living thing is just another piece on the board to use and throw away, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. What is his goal, you might ask? IT’s simple. To keep climbing. For Stockton, he has no overarching goal of ruling the galaxy or making trillions. Once he achieves something, he aims higher, and he can’t stop. Should he defeat Sapphiria, he will simply spread his authority over the galaxy, and then further, and further until he cannot find any possible way to keep climbing, and he will decimate anything that stands in his way…

Post Stockton, the next art pieces will be focused on revamping the Universe page a little! Specifically, I want to modify the machines page and turn it into a Factions page! This will host an entry for the Sapphire Eye, UEC, and REDACTED! Each faction will be represented by their crest, including REDACTED! REDACTED is definitely the one I’m looking forward to making the most, simply because only one other person alive knows what REDACTED even is, so the rest of you can sit there and wonder what new force is going to enter the playing field as time goes on! Let’s just say, that answer lies in Ragnarok! Or should I say ‘on’…

Social Media

I am moving all of my social interaction OFF of twitter effectively immediately. It will server only as a location to link people to places like this or BlueSky. With that being said, you can find all the same updates on Bluesky for the forseeable future, though I would like to eventually move on to Reddit. Being social is painful, but dang it I’m trying my hardest!

Signing Off

That’s all I have for this week. Next week, we’ll deep dive into the conceptual cover for the book and maybe a few other things! In the meantime, keep an eye on twitch for more Ark goodness, and maybe Bluesky for a few fun takes and images! I’ll be back next week with more goodies, so, until then…
