Early December Update
I’m still alive! Somehow… I’ve been working super hard behind the scenes trying to get all of this up and running still, which has meant going far outside my comfort zone and trying to develop new skills. The website is nearly complete with the newest, and one of the last, art assets being developed, which you can see on this post! With that out of the way, I have one last piece I want to put on the site, that I’m not quite sure if I can do yet. Legal stuff is fun… Not really…
As for the Sapphire Verdict, I expect one of the first short stories to be up soon. It’s already written, edited, and ready to go. It’s simply a matter of navigating copyright laws and other things I don’t like thinking about. Check back soon for a potential update on that.
With Christmas and the holidays coming up, I will probably get more time to devote to this, so I suspect I will be finished with the website very soon. That also means the book itself will begin rolling along soon and hopefully I can have an agent landed within the next year to begin selling it. In the meantime… work on the second book has officially started! I’m having to rewrite what I have already wrote for it due to such significant differences in writing style, maturity, and a host of other changes that were made during the editing of the first book, so this will probably take longer than I predicted. However, that does mean that I’m finally going to be back to writing full time again! On one hand, it’s exciting because that’s the part of this I actually enjoyed. On the other, a part of me is afraid that I’ve lost the edge I used to have, but I’m not going to back down. I’m ready to get this ball rolling, and I want to get this story out there so someone can finally see it and experience Sapphiria’s journey towards becoming the greatest hero the galaxy has ever seen!
I’ve also been toying around with starting a twitch channel. It’s a thought I’ve had in the past, and I’ve been told I need to up my social media outreach. I’m not the type to put on a fake face, so that eliminates instagram, tiktok, etc, which leaves me with some form of streaming content like twitch. I’m a shy person naturally, so it’s an intimidating idea to initiate, but I’m hoping that I can get past my nervousness and get it started. One of my friends started twitch streaming recently, so if they can do it, then so can I!
That’s all for now. See you at some undetermined point in the future because I’m tired of pretending that I have any consistency with this!
