Happy October!
Welcome back to this week’s blogpost that was definitely not done a day late! Sorry… I completely whiffed on that one. Don’t know what happened, but all I can do is move on and get into this weeks update!
This week, I don’t have anything major, but I do have a couple of updates and some thought vomit to cover! I have a massive vacation coming up, and my time in wow is FINALLY over, so I have buttloads of free time to get things done! That means that I can finally get around to finishing SO many things that I wanted to get done. With that being said, we’re going to talk about short stories, art, and some interesting possible site updates coming in the near future, so let’s hop into it!
Spirit Marsh
I believe I have covered this a few times now, but it’s worth covering one last time! Spirit Marsh will be the next short story in the Tearna journal entries and will be dropping sometime next week! This will be along the same lines as the first one in the form of a dossier style entry with a large emphasis on terrain and critters, though it will have some stuff about the Clockwork Crisis! Keep your eyes peeled for this, along with a potential teaser for the short story that will be following it!
Concept Art
For the past month, I’ve been working very hard on a conceptual piece for a book one cover. IT has been a very lengthy process, but I am hoping to get it knocked out over my long vacation. In terms of what’s left, I have to finish the walls of the Sanctum, do the vegetation on the rock, finish the sky, and bring Sapphiria to life! It sounds like a lot, and it is, but I think I will have it done with time to spare next week, which will mean working on something new very soon! Once the concept piece is done, I will shift gears to a new characters for the Character page! I’m not going to give any major spoilers, but… it might be a villain! Stay tuned!
Site Updates?
We had a fairly major site update a little bit ago that saw a reshuffling of several elements on the home page and additional assets added to many other pages. Another revamp is now potentially in the chamber that will see a major change in the Sapphire universe page. Originally, I wanted this page to display the ships I had designed for the Sapphire Eye. While that worked at the time, with the site becoming more robust, it’s time to revisit it! Very soon, it will be shuffled around and updated to instead be mainly about the factions! This will include a descriptive overview of major characters for each faction, their machines, their history, and other things! The assets and information already present will still be there, but it will be in a different spot tucked away within one of the three major faction pages! Wait… three? I’ll let you sit on that one for a minute.
Ark!
This is something that I’ve been excited about for months now, but I am FINALLY starting the Ark server I’ve been teasing! This is a friends and family server for Ark survival evolved, a game themed around survival and taming strange creatures, mostly dinosaurs. It’s one of my favorite games, and this will be the largest server I’ve ever been on. Most importantly… I’ll be streaming it! I plan to stream it almost constantly whenever I happen to be on for longer than an hour, and it should prove to be a fun time, so feel free to stop over at my twitch and hang out! Conclusion Already?!
No point in making up words if I don’t have anything to say! There’s not a whole lot going on this week. Next week, however, will certainly prove to be interesting, and may warrant an intentional later blog post! We’ll play it by ear and see what things look like by then!
