Art, Art, and more Art

With feeling, it’s that time of the week again! This week’s blog is mostly going to be themed around art, mostly because that’s just where my head has been at for the last twenty four hours. There are two pieces for us to both admire and study in this week’s blog, one of which is close to completion, but not quite there yet, but I’ll let them speak for themselves. Let’s get going!

Heart of the Eclipse

As always, preceding the release of a short story, we have the bookmarker, so behold, the ruins of the Eclipse! This ruined and wrecked city is all that is left of the Eclipse empire, the empire behind the Clockwork Crisis. From this city, the Crisis was kicked off, and the world was nearly destroyed in its wake. In the waning hours of the battle, however, the Eclipse capital city was sieged and destroyed. After the fighting, the ruins were mostly left untouched. Everything related to the production of clockwork machinery was completely, and utterly, eradicated, and the wreckage left behind was simply that, wreckage no one cared about. However, standing at the heart of the city, and mostly still intact, stands the old palace of the Eclipse emperor, its violet visage serving as a reminder to any who would think to wage war.

Next week, Tearna will embark into these ruins as the last segment of her adventure dwelling on the Clockwork Crisis. We’ll see where the Crisis started, what is left from it, and a future promise to all her people. After this, we will firmly be in the territory of exploration and documenting, so get ready for more wild creatures and even wilder locations! Oh, and the characters are going to start REALLY coming into their own! All of that, and more, awaits everyone next week when Heart of the Eclipse launches!

Sapphiria in the Karasi

Now, for the in progress piece touched upon in a recent blog post. Sapphiria’s Karasi adventure is still in progress, but a lot more work has been completed with what little free time I can find these days. Texturing and shading has finally been applied, and a lot more detail has been etched into the side areas. There is still a lot more to do with Sapphiria and some shading/texturing elements I simply haven’t gotten to, but we’re getting a lot closer! I would venture to guess that this may even be done by next week’s blog post, so get ready for a really big one if that ends up happening! For now, enjoy the WIP!

Youtube/Twitch

Things are still growing on both fronts and are finally starting to show some promise. Next week, there should be another pikmin video as well as more videos in our scorched earth series and Svartalfheim. The shorts, however, are outperforming by a mile, so I am going to try and spend less time on the main videos and more time on the shorts. It feels more like the shorts are the advertisement while the bigger videos are the main meal. Either way, expect more shorts next week!

Conclusion

Done already?! Yep! I’m exhausted, and I have a stream to get ready for. Not to mention, I’ve still got some other stuff that needs to be worked on. For now, simply look forward to what next week has to offer in terms of both art and short stories! Until then, cheers!
